Does my phone support Dual SIM?
Most phones released in the last few years support Dual SIM, which lets a Drift eSIM run at the same time as your existing physical SIM or home eSIM. To check, look in your phone’s settings for a Dual SIM, eSIM, or add-eSIM option: if it is there, your device can hold both lines and use your home number for calls while the eSIM carries data.
How to check your phone
Open Settings and look for eSIM or Dual SIM. On iPhone it is under Cellular or Mobile Data as add-eSIM; on Android it is usually under Network & Internet or SIM management. Running your SIM and eSIM together
With Dual SIM active you assign roles to each line: keep your physical SIM as the voice line for your home number, and set the Drift eSIM as the data line. Both stay connected, so calls and texts reach your usual number while data runs on the travel eSIM. Turn data roaming on for the eSIM line only: leaving it off on your home line avoids your own carrier’s roaming charges. If your phone has no eSIM option, it cannot run the Drift eSIM alongside a physical SIM. In that case an eSIM-capable phone is required: the compatibility checker shows which models qualify.
